TraceX’s Mission
Our comprehensive offering comprises hardware plus software plus ancillary services which deliver better outcomes for the wearer and lower costs of service. Our business model emphasizes recurring revenues through device leases and service fees. Our ethos is a partnership for shared success.
The Markets We Serve
TraceX Sees Many Applications For Wearable Devices That Leverage Modern Mobile Networks To Provide Actionable Data In Real-Time To Protect The Vulnerable.
Data combined with excellence in service provision can provide better outcomes for the wearer’s security and safety in the case of health and social care; and for the people around them in the case of criminal justice and trucking. They offer cost effective alternatives to hospital care or incarceration and cost effective implementation of essential road safety regulation. In healthcare in particular, the potential benefits of high tech homecare in terms of outcomes and costs are immense.
However, as McKinsey pointed out, they depend on impactful, timely, actionable data from devices such as ours. Our wearable sensors enable continuous monitoring and unprecedented mobility while providing real -time access to wearer and service provider (elder care, post-operative care, cognitively disabled individuals) —– providing information and detection at a fraction of today’s costs.
About Our Affirm™ Platform
Our Affirm platform is readily configurable to a range of form factors (anklets, bracelets, pendants etc.) and use cases.
Its unique patented differentiators consist of a one piece solution that incorporates GPS for location and 24/7 real- time data transmission using 4G LTE for immediate response. It delivers unprecedented compactness, battery life and comfort for the wearer.
Here is our current product as an anklet with a quarter for comparison. Our development plan envisages substantial further miniaturization.
Our Affirm Compliance Product
TraceX’s Affirm Compliance family of devices will address the market for monitoring of alcohol and other drugs of abuse.
The initial product delivers alcohol monitoring for the criminal justice market. Additional products for voluntary use and for detecting other illicit substances such as methamphetamines are in our development pipeline.

- Alcohol detection and GPS monitoring in one anklet
- With much greater comfort for the wearer
- And much reduced possibilities of false alarms due to our patented configuration of two sensors to differentiate between environmental alcohol and that excreted by the wearer (patents number 9241661 & 9642564)
- With significant (approx. 30%) cost reductions to the service provider
This all adds up to a substantial step-change in capabilities
Current Competitive Baseline | Affirm™ | |

About Us
TraceX sees many applications for wearable devices that leverage modern mobile networks to provide actionable data in real-time to protect the vulnerable.
Data combined with excellence in service provision can provide better outcomes for the wearer’s security and safety in the case of health and social care and for the people around them in the case of criminal justice. They offer cost effective alternatives to hospital care or incarceration. In trucking, our products support the implementation of important road safety legislation without massive cost penalties.
In the trucking industry, costs are increasing sharply as improved monitoring of drivers for alcohol or drug abuse and for excessive hours at the wheel leads to reduced supply of qualified staff and reduced driver productivity. The only way to achieve the required step change in road safety without these on-costs is innovation to enable disqualified drivers to return to the workforce by demonstrating abstinence and to ensure that drivers stop work when they are tired, perhaps due to sleep apnea, not at a fixed cut-off time”
In healthcare in particular, the potential benefits of high tech homecare in terms of outcomes and costs are immense.
